Benefits for AIDS-related organizations
One of the main benefits to AIDS-related organizations for participation in the One World Beat Festival, aside from fundraising efforts, is the opportunity to promote the organizations' activities. By participating in the festival—together with other AIDS organizations around the world -- each local event will gain more media value. The festival is also a great opportunity to get the local population talking about AIDS in an atmosphere of music and unity. Getting musicians involved to speak about the disease can be of great prevention value, especially in countries where the subject is still a taboo and largely ignored.

By joining the One World Beat festival local help organizations get the possibility to reach a new audience and talk to the media about their activities. We have had great feedback from AIDS organizations in Africa and other parts of the world, embracing the idea to use music as a vehicle to reach people. As one AIDS worker put it "... this is a great opportunity for us, because usually it hush-hush about anything that has to do with AIDS and this festival gives us a reason to get the people involved actively."
